Hi Everyone,

I am new to photography and this forum so I apologise for anything stupid I say on here. I have just been on a family holiday and taken lot's of pics. Bought a fuji s6500 about two months ago and bought a book about how to take the camera out of auto mode learnt a lot in a very short time I knew nothing (and I really mean I knew nothing!) about shutter speed, f-stop, depth of field etc etc

My question is I know want to print some pictures and put them in an album for the family and I want some tips.

1.Would you recommend going to Jessops or are there specialist shops I should go to. I do want very good quality and have a bit of money to spend.

2.Also I assume giving my pics in jpeg format to the shop is fine for print, if I adjust the pic in photoshop I usually go

file > save > jpeg > maximum quality

should I be saving in another format for printing.

3. Also some pics I would like a white border around them some I do this in photoshop or can the print shop do this

thats all for now any help would be great my pics are below, comments good and bad are welcome

thanks in advance;)

I use Photobox, upload your jpgs and choose your image size. They were doing 30 free 6*4 prints when you sign up.
Put the border around them in photoshop, just remember that this may result in you having to crop or shrink to fit to get them to fit a standard print size.

Hope this helps and welcome to tp

Or you could design and compose your own albums from within software like iPhoto, e.g. per event or per time slot, then you push the button and a couple days later a gorgeous album drops on your doormat.

iPhoto print products.

Have fun!
