HI, I have recentely seen some photos which have been printed or dry mounted in some way on to small white blocks. I am unsure what the blocks are made of but they have a shiney surface but are extremely light and are approx 1.5cm deep. The photos cover the front surface edge to edge and have a matt look. I would love to produce some of my photos this way can anyone advise how to do it and what the material is. These photos were retailing for £5 so I would think it must be a cheap material and process.

Was it coated or laminated MDF blocks ? I've seen flower photos done like this. I'd be interested to know how to do this too ! :)

You can get photos dry mounted to MDF blocks, see photoartistry.co.uk. These are great but are heavier and have black edges but I would recomend them.
However what I am looking for is much cheaper and lighter I think it is printed onto foamex.

Definitely something cheaper than photoartistry. £40 to mount a 7x7inch print on to a MDF block ?
