Printing newbie needs help

Hi guys

Im a total newbie to printing my pictures but have a few id like to print using a Canon mg5350s pixma

just wondering if its the paper or printer that makes the prints better

If paper whats the best type and where to get it, cant change the print as its the in-laws

I would start off using Canon inks and Canon paper. That will be more than adequate for 'normal' prints. I would only start experimenting with other paper for special prints ie competitions or mono prints. I have only been picky about my paper 2 years after starting to print my photos!

Have a look at Ilford's site, they have lots of quality paper that will be compatable with your printer using their free profiles.
