Edit My Images

Hi all,
I've shot a few weddings, but all of them have been just to supply the digital images for them to print. The wedding i'm working on at the moment wants a full printed album. I was just wondering where you guys get your printing done, for good quality and of course for cheap prices. Also where do you get your albums to put them in and who would you use for storybooks?
Thanks guys.

Storybooks really depends on your budget. From Blurb right up to Graphistudio, SIM2000, Loxley, etc there's a lot to choose from

Edit** Missed your bit about cheap prices. None of those I've mentioned other than Blurb could be considered cheap. I would never go cheap on a wedding album as it is going to get quite a lot of handling so needs to be substantial anddurable for when it gets taken out again in ten years time.

What Jim said.

Wedding albums aren't cheap, although they're not hideously expensive (though some are).

How did you manage to sell an album without knowing how much it was going to cost you? When I'm booking a wedding the couple want to know exactly what it'll cost, and when I'm telling them I need to know exactly how much I'll be earning, otherwise I could be out of pocket.

Most album mfrs require you to register and although the prices aren't a 'secret' as they're a trade item you will be marking up, open discussion of prices isn't really 'fair'. That said, what are your customers expecting to pay (ish) and what were you thinking you'd be supplying? Someone may help with detail by PM.
