Bit of a long shot, is there any printing services in the UK who are able to print from a 35mm transparency slide? My step-grandad has some from his wedding (1977) and would like them printed.

The slides have been kept boxed. in the dark and are still in good condition.

Cheers!

I think any d+p lab will do this for you, I had some done recently by Peak Imaging.

Any film scanner should be able to cope with them as well.

If you want the best then Cibachrome/Ilfochrome prints are what you want. Its the traditional way of printing slides and can produce a wider range of colours plus they are ultra high gloss and last for some ridiculous amount of time like 300 years without fading etc. Their a bit more expensive but worth it.
Unfortunately only one place in the UK now does them and they are getting rid of their service in a few months.

As the post below says, the place that does them is right near you.

There is a newer alternative though, Fujiflex prints which are similar as they work on the same polyester base as cibachrome prints and can give a the same range of colours and high gloss. However you can do these from slides, negs or digital now as its exposed by a RGB laser like other prints now.
Peak Imaging have just started doing these:
