Hi,
I guess this has probably been discussed to death on here, I've had a look but can't find much.
I'm after a simple to use wireless printer, compatible with Windows and Ipad, A4 and bellow. I really want good quality prints, but it would be used for other day to day stuff too.
I've always stuck with HP in the past, as an ex engineer I saw an awful lot of Epson/Canon printers pipes drying up (but this was a long time ago), and I liked the idea of replacing the heads along with each cartridge. I understand technology changes though, and everything I know/knew is way out of date.
Running costs are relatively important, but I also understand a full A4 colour photo print wouldn't be cheap.
I'd like to keep it under an initial £300 if possible too ;)
Any pointers are more than welcome !
Cheers
Stu

I've a Canon Pixma MP620, long discontinued but prints full sheet A4 very well indeed (I've sold plenty of prints done with it). Being a multifunction printer I also use it for home office stuff, including scanning and copying. I trust Canon inks. However, it's not airprint compatible so my files have to hit the iMac first. So, certainly look at the Canon multifunction range.

I have a question of my own, too: maybe someone can answer both questions here. I need a printer, A4, which can be set up entirely through an ipad (as in no need for a computer, no wifi required for file transfer, entirely able to operate between an ipad and itself). This will be for printing at the office completely separate from the office wifi and network. Can this be done?

Anyway apologies for hijacking the thread but maybe a printer guru knows all...

i have the The Canon PIXMA MG6350 it fits what you are after. My only complaint is it seem to clean its self all the time. even if i just print one sheet of A4 text it will start to clean. Trouble is every time it cleans it uses ink.

Cheers, I'll take a look at those. Sounds like technology hasn't moved on that much then regarding their maintenance routines lol. Spent many an hour scraping out lumps of gunky ink from printer service pots in the past :-(
