printer for home printing

Goor Morning.

any suggestions for reasonably priced decent printer for home printing? printing will be max to A3 and will be used mainly for framing.

do you just need a printer or all in one? epson stylus 1500 up to A3+ £300 hth mike only problem is the footprint you need a LOT of space. got mine from here and its come down £80 ordered in store delivered next day amazing,great staff too

not a big fan of all in one. i would rather go far dedicated photo printer. will have a look at 1500

Epson p400 or p600, lovely printers 600 is well worth the extra

i prefer black and white prints but can't have a seperate printer for colour and black and white. Photography is expensive hobby!

You don't need a separate on the p600 does both but excels at B&W

I thought the 1500 had the same B&W trick up its sleeve as the 1400?

I have a 1400 and I'm yet to get a decent B+W out of it, horrendous blue/magenta /green casts every time. I believe the 1500 is an evolution of the 1400, so I'd be wary. There may be a fix now but I gave up a long time ago and just accepted that it wouldn't print B+W. My 1400 does lovely colour prints but you have to nail the processing.

I was, still am tempted by the 600 but other purchases had to come first.

Another Epson vote i have the 1500W does A3+ really enjoyed it just ordered the SureColor p600 today get it next week mainly changing for ease of Pano printing. I use the Marrutt Lyson ink on the 1500w and will use Marrutt ink for the 600 as well

Canon ix 6550 is good. Bought it in uni years ago - still going strong now!

What a great / useful tip thank you. I'd given up trying to get rid of the green cast and all I neded to do was this. Thank you
