I've been following twitter film user Dan K (@ZDP189) and note he's been developing a printable device to make loading 120 spools for souping easier. Just noted in a tweet that he's published the files for printing... thought some here might be interested!

I don't remember having any trouble loading 120 onto a Paterson spiral many years ago when I used to do my own B&W dev and printing. Is it really such a problem?

I'm pretty sure it was Nova Darkroom who marketed such a device many years ago, and I'm also pretty sure that I've got one lurking in the back of the cupboard. I never found it to be helpful at all, but some people might. If you fancy trying it Chris, I'll dig it out and happily send it for trial?

Dan is doing it one-handed !

Thanks for the offer, but I don't currently soup 120, and I have a Lab-Box coming (this year! Yeah!) for when I want to. It was more of a PSA.

Not entirely sure if he is personally doing it one-handed, but I think it was originally inspired by someone who needed to do that?
