print size confusion!

I have 3 photos ive uploaded to photobo for prints. Now in Photoshop on my pc i resized them to 16"x7" 300dpi and saved them off. However in photobox if i select the 16"x12" template, the closest match, the preview shows the photo as being way wider than the 16" preview frame. The only template that seems to fit is the 20"x8" but i dont want a 20" wide print! i can do a "shrink to fit" but i shouldnt have to as it should be the same size that i see in PS?

How come theres such a difference? and what can i do about matching up the sizes i see on my PC with what i see with online printing sites?

I think you will find that Photobox expects prints of that size to be 240dpi and with yours being 300dpi Photobox thinks it is bigger than it really is.
