Prime lenses

I'm sorry if this kind of thread has been done to death, but searched around and didnt find exactly what I was looking for so wanted to put a few questions to you more experienced toggers

My current set-up is a 450D , kit lens (NEVER USED) , nifty fifty and a Sigma 10-20mm.

I absolutely love my nifty, I dont think its possible to buy a better priced lens for a newbie...but I have had it for a while now, and although I love it, I find it 'hunting' abit too much for my liking.

So, What could you recommend to replace it with?

Also in addition are there some more good primes to have out there with a focal range of <50mm I love the challenge of having to use my feet to frame a shot how I want it, but even so I find the 50mm too restricting on my crop body sometimes.

Does the 450D have a focus assist light?

50 1.4, either Sigma or Canon, both are great lenses.

Not all that useful though and pretty expensive in comparison to everything else, so get a Sigma 30 1.4

+1 for the Sigma 30/1.4 It will give you a more generically useful field of view as well.
