This has only started happening recently and no, I haven't made any significant changes to the system that I can think of.

I receive a .pdf file in which the text appears as coloured block lines. When viewed on XP (spit) under Parallels it's fine. I can then print it to a new .pdf using fineprint pdffactory and the resultant file is perfectly readable in Preview under OSX.

All versions of everything are fully up to date.

This is a grab of the garbage I'm seeing.

Any help gratefully received.

That looks like somebody's DNA map !!!!

Have you tried deleting PDF reader and reinstalling? Looks like some file corruption.

It works fine on anything I produce, both under OSX and XP.

I've had that issue once or twice. As far as I can tell its caused during the PDF creation. Using adobe reader rather than preview solves the issue.

I was afraid someone would say that. I had to use adobe reader under Leopard and I hated it.
