Premier elements 9 (memory issue) v Premier elements 10

The laptop on which I do any video work has 8Gb of memory. Now yesterday I found the setting in Photoshop elements to increase used memory from 1.6Gb to 3.5Gb and it made a noticeable difference.

But I cannot find for the life of me where in Premier elements 9 the means to increase the memory used. At present the memory used never gets above 2.2Gb. Does any one know if the memory can be increase in Premier elements?

Has anyone moved from PE 9 to PE 10 and can you increase the memory used given that it now a 64bit process aganist the 32bit system in elements 9?

I know this may not help you much but I switched from 9 to 10 and I've noticed it's much quicker.

If you tell me where the setting might be in 10 I can have a look for you.

Thanks Tom. Unfortunately I am not able to find the settings Premier Elements, the only ones I can find are in the organiser and in Photoshops elements.

In the Orangiser and in Photoshop Elements, it is Help>system Info
What is of interest is the bit

Built-in memory: 8086 MB
Free memory: 6123 MB
Memory available to Photoshop: 3255 MB
Memory used by Photoshop: 100 %

If it capable of using more memory than Elements 9 then one would expect free memory to be the same or close to the memory available to Photoshop.

I know that one should not read across from one program to the other expecting the same results, but it should give an indication.
