That's what the Russians were hoping would come from the seeds. Either raptors or that BAAAAAAAD mofo the scientists made that was auctioned off by the detectorist...
 
There's a bit of mad scientist in me. I'd love to see how these things thrive, and if they can be incorporated into a modern environment.
 
Didn’t the Israelis do this a few years back when they unearthed a biblical era urn with I think it was date seeds ? in it of a variety that was exstinct ,think they started with one tree now have lots of them

Yes, they did. Not nearly as old as the Siberian plant though. Still, it's all good for bio-diversity.
