Turns out the power supply cable that came with the Ninja 20B I was sent for testing was not the UK one so while I wait an age for a replacement from China I thought I'd ask on here as I'm having a slow brain day...

The spec states: AC Input Power100 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz at 2.5 to 5 A

Output DC 36V / 6.38A . Three core Kanon Interface

I've attached a photo from the official site to show what I received.

Can I just use any plug into the wall that fits into the adapter block? Or does it need to have a specific power rating?

Sorry if this is dumb, it's been a long day.

Any power lead will be fine. Any power lead with a kettle plug will all be rated well above what the PSU draws.

But why not just cut off the plug and fit a U.K. plug?

Thanks!

I'd definitely mess up the plug swap, at least it's easier for me to use another lead I have until the company get another out to me.

Or just use a plug adaptor, a simple travel adaptor that most people visiting the UK brings with them.
I was thinking about that actually. Should be sound right

edit, found one. Not sure I can swap the 13A out for a 5A as above recommended. Looks rather sealed.

Those are terrible. If you’re going to buy one of those why not just get a proper cable or replace the plug on the one supplied?

That plug is illegal and dangerous. The live and neutral pins are too close to the edge of the plug, the Earth pin is insulated and I suspect the live pins and Earth pins are the same length. If you’re thinking of buying one of these then you may as well just keep the cheap PSU that came with the lights. Either one is going to be as “shocking” as the other.

No, just found it in a box :D Thanks for the advice. I'll either pick the lead up off amazon or wait for the company to deliver what should have sent out.
