Power pack for outdoor lighting?

Hello Mate,
I saw an events photographer running 3 lights from something similar, and it worked well. I suppose if the combine ampage of your lights is < the ampage of the generator, you shouldbe fine.
Im no expert though.

I read the reviews Wayne and on page 4 it says "electrical items under 300W" might be worth digging through the specs a bit deeper, what's the wattage of your Elinchroms?

Just checked the Manufacturer's site and it is a 300W inverter so your lights would have to some in under that load.

There is a bigger one at 900W and it's on a trolley, looks like a bit of a beast!

As Ali says. And bear in mind that manuafacturers often quote the very misleading peak output, not the real one.
You really do need a pure sine wave converter, otherwise:wave: goodbye lights

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm not too bothered about the modeling lights, so I'm guessing the wattage would be ok, I'm more concerned about blowing the lights with dodgy current or something.
