No
as probably most of you know - poundland stocks kodacolor 200 24exp. for a quid.

I was wondering - how bad is it ?
have a few of them but scared to use them on occasions where I would prefer good quality film .
I understand that it's an old film. but maybe someone could share their experience.

cheers,
D.

It's really not that bad, especially for a pound. I think this was taken on it, and (for a quid) it's smashing! Just get your scanning right, that helps a lot

personally if you're going film, skip 35mm and get medium format, incredible difference

Also watch for Boots dropping short-dated Fuji C200 to under a pound a roll for the 24exp holiday 5 roll bags. It's the same stuff that Jessops give you as the free film with developing (except they give you a 36 exp roll).

I can only recall the VR range, such as the Kodacolor VR 200 and VR 100 going back to the mid-1980's (I've been shooting in black & white pretty much from this period onwards). The Kodak's were certainly very good films, but I personally favoured the Fuji equivalents as they appeared to give a "warmer" image.

I've only used OOD Kodak colorplus 200 and it reminds me of the old days for colour. But I'd rather get some OOD Fuji superia 200 or Kodak gold for £1 (or less) a roll on the bay.

ok. so doesn't look too bad at all. soon to order some pro rolls.

i'll be shooting 35mm for some time till I save up for 5d . as for MF - I'm thinking about it . I miss it definitely :)

used to be die hard fuji fan but now with the new kodak portra super fine grain I think I might swap.

Those shots look really good. :)

 Those film P&S cameras (not with a zoom lens) that people are throwing away give VG results....I have quite a few from £0-£1.50 even a Yashica T5 with Zeiss lens.

lucky man ! I've never seen a cheap T5 or anything like that . did once buy a cheap olympus mju I but never used it and sold. might try to hunt for a t4 or t5 as it's a great combo t5 + pro film .

Never tried them, but my EOS 3000 is good as well :)

try eos 30, 33 or 3 . superb stuff !
compacts are super great for everyday shots. although I do take my canon every time I go somewhere. p&s would be handy sometimes. heh ! look at us - 2 latvians talking in english :D

On my computer table I've an Olympus XA-2 looking at me, and I must put a film in it one day :)

The lens on the Yashica T5 is very good, but sometimes the AF focused on the subject I didn't want

yeah ! the AF is silly. I would've used it only with iso800 so the dof wouldn't be so narrow.
XA2 looks kinda cool.

I'm quite happy with the EOS 3000, fits all my needs. I only shoot film for fun. :)

haha, don't think I can write Latvian properly anymore. :)
