Hi everyone, as a new member and not sure what i'm doing just yet. Can anyone put me me in the right direction to printing postcards. I need to print several hundred of 3 or 4 images for a promotion. Quality is essential and the right price. This is freebee so please be gentle with me and i'll post the images as and when they are available to the public. Thanks

Best bet is to do a Google search on "postcard printing".

If you just need loads of 6x4 prints, without the stiffness and back side printing of postcards, maybe one of the High St firms could do you a good deal?

Hi!

I use my local printer. Find yours in Yellow pages. Ring or visit, tell 'em what you want and get a quote.

I fine tune my images in PS, design front and back in Quark (but any suitable app will do) and give the printer a disc. Your printer will tell you what they want from you.

It isn't expensive although the higher the quantity you want the lower the individual unit cost.

My printer can put 12 or 16 x A6 images on a sheet so multiples of 4 are less wasteful of paper and therefore cheaper than odd numbers.

Check out Google ref. Post Card Printing prices and then contact your local printers so that you can do a price comparison.
Bear in mind VAT and Delivery charges can add a lot to the price.
Cheers

Althpough there are a few cheaper places, Printing.com always seem to do a good job. and if you wait for an offer they can be quite reasonable too.

I work in a printers although I'm not sure if it's against forum rules to offer my services, but I can highly recommend printing.com and aubergineprint.co.uk.

Although I can't recommend anyone specific, I'd opt for a local printer over an internet based one for this type of work, even if the cost is slightly higher.
When I was looking at printing postcards a couple of years ago I had some really good contacts with local firms, one of which even offered to come round and see me!
As above, sometimes it's good to feel and touch before spending...

Kris
