post the highest petrol diesel prices you have seen

Its still 111.9 for unleaded about a 5 minute drive from my girlfriend's house :)

And she thinks I drive all the way to her house to see her ;) :p

Having said that 111.9 for petrol is an absolute con, considering the prices in australia are around 40p.
 
Saw 136.9p for Diesel last week near Aberfoyle, Scotland, their unleaded was 125.9 :eek:

Shell normal diesel, 129.9 Queensferyy, North Wales

Asda 800yards down the road 122.9 - 31p a gallon difference.

Queues as Asda, one lonely motorist at the Shell !!
 
I use www.petrolprices.com to check my local prices. The best I've seen near to me is 110.9 for unleaded (Sainsburys Cheadle) and was 105.9 with the 5p a litre off voucher after doing my shopping there. The worst ones are always motorway service stations.
 
Deisel is 129.9 at the Texaco garage in Burton and seems to creep up daily.
 
118p for UL and 134p for D at my local garage. LPG 54p two miles down the road.
 
£1.289 at shell in Chester :annoyed:

£40 quid and it's still only 3/4 of a tank :(

Won't be long now before fuel related crime is rife.
 
With most modern cars having plastic fuel tanks it's easy enough to put a hole in the talk and fill up a container while the owner sleeps soundly. :(
 
Ouch, when I left the UK it was just under a quid a litre for super UL.
I can't imagine how much I'd be paying back home with the VR6 which was my car at the time, road tax is crazy now too :(
 
£131.9 at Blackpark F/S inverness for Diesel.

Jimmy Lemon, I doubt there's a need for them, all the petrol stations I see have number recognition camera systems that are shockingly accurate.

Barrel of oil spiked to $135 this week. So expect more price rises over the next few days.

Tesco and Shell are the same price round my way. But i seem to get more miles from a tank filled up at Shell.
 
Will everyone please put the correct prices up, it's not £131.9 a litre it's £5.99 a gallon.

The litre was just another government con to try and make fuel look cheaper.
 
Petrol - £1.19 - Oldham.

Diesel - £1.33 - Oldham

Couldn't agree more, a 2p increase on a litre equates to a shade over 9p on a gallon !!.
 
I remember when fuel went from being sold in gallons to litres.
To help customers with the change over petrol stations put stickers on the pumps showing a conversion scale from cost per litter to gallon.
Fuel at this time was at the mid 50’s pence mark and the scale went up and down to allow for price changes.
The reason I mention this is the scale stopped at 79.9p a litre. No one thought fuel would cost more than this!

Has anyone here considered adding Hydrogen injection to improve MPG on their car or running diesel engines on cooking oil?

A little out of date here FP. I was down there a while back and it's more like 70-75p....still cheap though.

A friend of mine has just come back from a trip to Spain and Gibraltar, a taxi driver in "Gib" was upset about a recent increase in fuel to 60 odd pence a litre.

a garage near to me has started selling bio diesel, last week it was £1-06.9, today £1-09.9, if it's not made out of oil why has it gone up in line with regular diesel.

i was thinking of using it but the caveats on the pump put me off, this fuel will clean your engine so it may block your fuel filter, use at your own risk, the fuel supplier accepts no liability yadda yadda yadda

I believe you can legally run your car on cooking oil now as long as you use less than so many litres a year and it's not for commercial use

My local (six miles away) supermarket is selling UL at £1.11

Glad to see it is still coming down!

This thread reminds me. The other day I noticed an old ruin of a pump that must be decades old. It was obviously part of an old village fuel station and had deisel 1/10 shilling per gallon. I must go back with the camera

Camera? I'd go back with a petrol can at that price :coat::lol:
 
Back in June, a profiteering twunt in town was charging (or trying to) £1.999 /litre.

Fortunately, we were on holiday during the really high prices and now they seem to be a little less extortionate.
