Good morning - I really should get some sleep! :bonk:

My girlfriend is in need of some shots done for her dance career, she asked me to do some head shots of her and being the nice guy I am I said yes :p Now I would like to do these indoors with some sort of backdrop, whether it be a white sheet or something a long those lines. The trouble is the only lighting I have available is a 500w Halogen work lamp and a Nissin Di622 attached to my body.

Do you think it will be possible to get any usable shots? What sort of set-up would I use? I was hoping to give it a shot tomorrow :)

Thanks,
Steven

do they have to be white bg? that makes a world of pain for you

what about a nice black sheet? buy a set of RF602's from flash in the pan and a softbox too, use you nissin as a key light in that. Then put the halogen behind as a rim/separation/hair light.

work in black and white and don't worry about casts, or put a full cto gel on your flash and it'll be lose enough as the halogen is just rim

Room with a regular white ceiling, pull out the bounce card, point the flash straight up, shoot. That's about as good as it gets without a lot of clobber, and TBH is usually looks great

the nISSIN dI622 won't trigger remotely, will work on a cable but not wirelessly
