Hi All,

I've got a quick question regarding if something is possible in PS-CS6.

I'm very bad at CS6, however... I have taken a photo I kind of like when I was recently on the Isle of Skye, however there is a blurry white mark in the photo, and it looks as though, due to rushing, I may have got some water on the inside of the camera during a lens switch...

Is this something that is easy to remove, if I don't have a decent second photo with which I can do some layering magic and bring through a part that has no water spots? Or am I likely stuck with it?

Thanks in advance :)

Thanks mate, I've given that a go, but it doesn't look too good. I think it's probably just me though!

I do have another photo, taking slightly off centre and same zoom, but cut and paste isn't working for me :(

I'm pretty terrible at PS though

You'll need to play around with the brush settings.
I have mine set to 100% hard....sounds counter intuitive, but it works better than a softer setting.
Also you could try changing from content aware to nearest neighbour* (not sure if that's what it's called.... I'm on a tablet, not a pc ATM) - this works quite well on plain skies etc....not so well with complex backgrounds.

Hope this helps, good luck.(y)

**edit**

*It's called proximity match btw!!:giggle:
I'm now installed on the pc!!;)

Hope you successfully dealt with your sensor spot issue Mark.

Regarding cutting and pasting sections in from a different image, I would only recommend this as a last resort.
It is do-able however - you'll need to copy the piece as a separate layer, and use the 'modify edge' tool so that you can feather the edges to blend with the surrounding area.

A better solution would be to use the clone tool though.
Use the alt key and select a similar area to clone, then simply paint over the spot.
Softening the brush should blend it nicely with the surrounding areas too.

Hope this helps.:)
