I am trying to make a simple logo action in PS and I need to position some text next to a small image. I thought I had it sorted, but now I have ran it on a portrait-orientated image (I developed the action on a landscape shot) it appears that the position of the small image is absolute (i.e. (x,y) co-ordinates), while the text "click-point" is relative (i.e. a % of width and height of main image)

Is there a way that I can make the text click-point position absolute, so that it is in the same relative position to the small logo-image when applied to portrait / landscape / different-dimensioned images?

The action creates the logo in a random area of the shot and then does the positioning afterwards - it is just the relative position of the text and image parts of the logo that need to be maintained. I want to avoid creating multiple actions for different sized shots too, so that I can run it on a batch of any-sized shots.

Thanks :)

The simple answer is yes, although off the top of my head I can't remember how. the good news is if you check out Russel Browns website theres a tutorial there telling you how to do it. http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html Digital watermark action is the one you want. Wayne

Or create 2 actions, 1 for portrait format, and 1 for landscape. For my motorsport shots, I add a frame and text on the frame detailing team name and circuit. All in an action. The key for me to get the exact thickness of frame each time was to have a crop set up to include dpi, so for an A4 print with a black border, that's slightly thicker at the bottom, I crop to 3888 x 2534 at 300 dpi. All pics are now exactly the same size, which makes positioning text in an action much easier.
