Just took a brief break from exam revision and built up this. Based on a Wordpress themed blog

www.gspritchard.co.uk

I'm concerned regarding how the logo looks blurred on some monitors, and I know the background images want changing to more 'full screen' ones that don't cut off with the footer.

Can anyone tell me how I can get a redirect domain (points to www.beancaffe.co.uk/gspritchard) to display the page names too. Frame redirect (current) covers it all up, and HTML redirect takes you to beancaffe.co.uk. I hijack hosting from my Mum's cafe.

Hi George. Nice modern look. It took a while to load, though. I think the links on the lhs should all be the same length. Not keen on how the selected pull out links don't have any background. The whole navigation is a bit confusing. The images in the gallery also seem to take ages to load, too. Why are you using a frameset?
Great start though.

It is for myself. Boredom and I've had the domain for a while.

The design is basically a theme I've purchased with some tweaks. Load times are hit and miss in finding. Need to resave all my images to web friendly sizes I think?

like the idea... dont like..

big white "Blog" box, too intrusive.
white link boxes all different sizes.
the striped background pics, makes my eyes go funny.
the slideshow controls and thumbs dont work on FF.

i think you need a better menu system and itd look good.

Blog box I want rid of, I want nothing on the homepage except navigation but can't work out how to use WP to have a blank homepage and the posts page on a separate page. I'm just working on this now.

Navigation I can't get to set sizes although I do prefer how they look myself. I still need to play with colours yet.

I've turned off the striped background now, I tried dots and small squares. My thinking on this overlay was to detract away from image quality if viewed on a large display.

Turned off controls now as they were hit and miss on Chrome too, left the thumbs though.

I want to include a background on the 'Portfolio' pages, but when I switch this on the images are all just broken tags on the thumbnails I need to sort out still.
