Hi Lee,

The cheapest solution is to get more memory cards. They're cheap these days, so skimping on 'm isn't sensible.

The next possibility – if you have access to the internet on your holiday – is to empty your full card on a PC and upload that stuff to your own mail address for collection/download when you get home again. The card will be empty and ready for the next batch, and your photos will already be safely back home.
Use http://www.pando.com/ for uploads up to 1GB max, or http://www.podmailing.com/ for unlimited size uploads.
Be sure to take your cam's USB cable with you on holiday!

But if you insist on spending your hard earned money (?) you could choose portable storage from http://www.steves-digicams.com/digi_accessories.html#storage.

I must confess, though, I use all 3 methods, because I'm 'religious' about backing up (a.k.a. paranoid...).
Did you see that sunk cruiseliner in the Antarctic, the Explorer? I was on that same cruise 7 years ago. Had that accident happened then, chances are all my Antarctic photos* – thousands! – would have been lost. Not so with backup over the internet today.
