These portable drives which have an SD card slot incorporated, seem to have mixed reviews.

Anybody using them who would like to recommend or otherwise - bhudget up to about £300 if there is a good one recommended

Often think it would be beneficial but reviews have clouded my decision making

I had a WD Wireless Pro - it worked well, it probably still does but WD support has been withdrawn. No obvious replacement product.

I have a RAVPower Filehub now which does the same job - albeit in two devices where the WD was a single device but that means I can easily backup to multiple devices out in the field. I think this may also have been discontinued.

I had a WD wireless pro too and my daughter has it now.
If you get a reliable one they are very good.

Most of these sort of products seem to be discontinued. I use a Kingston Mobilelite MLW221 with either an external SSD or high capacity flash drives which works well as a backup solution for me. It wasn't very expensive when bought new and used ones occasionally appear on eBay

I back up to an Android Galaxy Tab S tablet whilst on holiday, memory card reader with a micro usb jack and a 128GB micro SD card to expand the memory is all I need
Presumably if your phone has the same memory card capability and is OTG enabled that would work the same way

Used it many times now and never had any issues, just remember though you still need to keep the originals otherwise its not a back up

I use a hub similar to this with my android phone and a 500gb ssd with a USB adapter, it's a bit heath robinson but works well enough :)
