Portable flash units

I am looking at getting some portable flash unit. I've been looking at the elinchrom quadras, but they are right at the edge of my budget. Is there anything similar but bit cheaper, or any other ideas.

I suppose a SB900 and a wireless trigger might be cheaper.

IIRC LinkDelight in HK do a portable lighting kit, but by the time you get it here it's still going to be £6-700 maybe more by the tie the shipping and duty etc are factored in, which kind of negates any saving over the Elinchrom product, especially if you ever need to ship it back to HK for a warranty issue....

There are cheaper and more expensive options to the Quadra. None of the cheaper ones will give you the same features though, like skyport, which I've found invaluable, and the weather proofing.
