Pond life I.D?

Spotted these in my pond tonight and managed to catch these two. They are around 1.5 inches long and are nasty looking wee buggers. Can anyone tell me what they are? Photos might not be that great, taken quickly on my phone.

Could it be a Dragon fly larvae ? that's what it looks like to me.
