I have a Fuji 5600, and while it takes a very good photo, its useless at doing macro, does anyone know of a point and shoot that will do a good macro shot as I dont want to replace the 5600. I would be thinking of spending upwards of 200 quid.

We have a Pentax Optio s5n (few years old now) but the macro on this is incredible. I'd imagine the newer Optio range is probably as good. The only thing that's a struggle is focusing, but with a little tripod this is quite easy to cope with. I've been told that some of the Casio P&S cameras are also quite good.
I think you might need to do some homework on this, and check out the specs before trundling off to Jessops and having a play with a couple.

If you have access to an old 50mm lens, try stacking it on the front of the camera.
Set your lens to between 100/200mm and use your movement to get the focus.

If it works for you, it saves spending unnecessarily.

A Kodak Z740  This camera has the best macro settings I have seen for a point and shoot. You're welcome to go and look at my macro shots on my Flickr ~ CLICK ME. :)

I`ve done a bit of research, and I`m leaning towards replacing the 5600 with an s6500fd!

I`ve decided, I can get a S6500fd for £199 then resell the 5600 to recuperate a bit of that!
