I have a friend who's turning 50 very soon.
He's a very outdoors type of person and has always been into rough camping, wildlife, conservation, fishing, photography.
I was thinking of getting him a decent pocket knife. I know he'll already have one but I'm at a loss for what to get him. Though he'll probably appreciate the gift.

Probably not a Swiss army type, maybe a folding knife or fixed blade.
I've no ideas about a decent pocket knife and was looking recommendations if possible.

I do not know your budget, but, this shop supplies some very good pocket knives from £20.00 through to over £200.00.

I have a very old hunting knife that is still as good as the day it was bought some 40 years ago.

Heinnie Haynes is another good place to look. The website shows uk legal carry in one section if that’s important to you.

I have always fancied a knife made by Michael May. I'm sure that anything from here would be welcomed.

I have other Sheffield made knives, including a fine one made by Trevor Ablett, but I think May's ones are a cut above. (!)

Thank you for the recommendation. I've ordered a Michael May Bog Oak pocket knife. It looks very nice and hopefully be here on time.

They do an attachment that gets boy scouts out of horses hooves ;)
