Plugins go where??????

I need 3.6 raw plugin for my elements4 (mac).. I have downloaded it..OK
What do I do with it now? How do I plug-in the plugin???
I swear I've never hadto do this before as CS1&2 have done it for me but this elements does not. So help please--Simpler the better

Off the top of my head I think it goes in into the file formats folders then plug in's, but I'm in work at the mo and carn't check.

I'm guessing it should go into this folder;
Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats

To be sure do a search in explorer for the file "Camera Raw.8bi" in your Elements folder.
Then simply replace it with the newly downloaded version.

Found it thanks to you. Will try it out later when I download the wifes pictures from her vilux1. Thanks again.

If Elements is the same as Photoshop, you should be able to find (in Edit/Preferences) a place to point Elements to your own additional plugins folder. This will help when upgrading/removing the software, as your own plugins (which you might have paid for) shouldnt be deleted along with the oem stuff. If there are 2 files with the same name, the oem folder will probably take priority.
