Hey All

Well, I purchased some gear from someone on here a year or so ago, and it has been excellent thus far, but today it failed on me and so I am now in the market for a replacement studio kit.

I have no idea what to go for, or what is good quality v's what is not so good quality. Can someone offer some advice please as to what I should go for...?

I like the look of the Elinchrom D-Lites, and the Interfit kits look reasonably priced. I have a very nice promotional job booked for Tuesday morning so need to arrange for next day delivery before 09:00 which I know many companies offer.

Budget is between £350 - £500, but I don't really need a 3 head kit as I have two good heads already that I use for background lighting. Can the flash experts here offer some advice please, thanks.

I think there's many "flash experts" on this forum, John.......but they dont necessarily know anything about lighting!! :naughty: :D

You're wicked you are Janice... :) hehehe...

You don't say what type of photography you want to use them for, but assuming portraits then Elinchrom D Lites (an update of their budget Prolinca range) is a safe buy, if not very good value for money.

Bowens is another good choice, and if you're looking for good value for money then Lencarta (sold only on Ebay) is a good choice.

Interfit don't have the best reputation for quality or reliability...
