Could somebody please help me here, been sat now for 3 hours and still none the wiser.
Added a watermark in Gimp, easy, thing is, it is currently sat in the middle of the image. As it's another layer, i have tried moving this, but no joy at all.
I am beyond threaders here, it can't be that difficult surely.
I have looked at the Gimp help, but can't find anything about this.
I don't want to end up just putting my name in a text box and doing it that way (at least i can move that)
Somebody pleaseeeeeeee

Not used Gimp, but I would have thought that if your watermark is on it's own layer, providing you have the correct layer selected it should be a fairly straight forward process to use the move tool to position it exactly where you want. That's how you do it in PS anyway.

I don't have gimp but if theres a move tool try dragging it with that, you might need to transform (or free transform) the layer first.

Thanks guys,
There is a move tool, i did try it, must just be a moron.

Not at all, theres a steep learning curve with most photo softwares, once you get the basics your away, but some are very daunting at first look and some things are not as easy as they should be. Practice helps. but it does take time, even then you'll get caught out from time to time.

Have you tried setting it up as a brush? Elect copy and save in a new brush file. Then you can use the brush controls to change it for each use or just stick it on.
