I have a Nikon D 40 and I would like to get a macro lens but I am new to photography and don’t know which one to get, please don’t get to technical as I am not up on tec terms

My first and only macro lens to date is the sigma 105, I don`t use it a lot, but it seems a capable lens when I do use it. Have a look in the macro section.....

The Tamron 90mm Nikon fit is a versatile lens both for macro and quite handy for portraits. Have a look at reviews on the web.

Another vote for the Sigma 105mm, although the Tamron 90mm always gets great reviews.

Had tamron and sigma..prefer the Tamron.

I got my Sigma 105mm 2nd hand from a member on here for £140.
