Hello everyone,

I have my grandmothers 80th birthday on the weekend and I'm putting together a portfolio of all the cousins for her birthday.

I have a photo that I need to edit, and clear the wing mirror of this photo so that its clear, but still looks like a mirror.
Sorry, I'm new to photoshop and still learning (I've only had it a few days!!). Any advice will be a huge help!!

This is one of the photos from the portfolio that I want to edit;

I would like to clear the wing mirror so there's nothing there, and just looks like a mirror.

If someone could please give some guidance that would a huge help and sincerely appreciated!!.

Thanks a lot!

Nick

Best way,
Take another photo of the mirror empty. Upload to PC.
Open both photos in cs5 or 6
Use the clone tool, set target as empty mirror by ctrl & click, and then brush it into this picture..

Thanks mate. Photo was taken years ago.. Is there any way to cut it out, or delete the detail?
I'm playing around with it, trying to copy the top left over the rest of the photo but with little success.

Really dont know how to go about this one (a bit stuck!).

You can photo any mirror in appropriate lighting, so outside and use it. You'll only be cloning the glass, so use any car mirror, and try and get a similar angle.
When cloning you may need to keep resetting the target position so it doesn't run out.
Remember enlarge for editing. Always work big

The problem with mirrors is they reflect things, I've had a quick play with your pic and I just put the beach in it, I won't post the result as you have edits unticked.

Thanks guys!!

These are what people came up on another forum;
