Okay so this month I will be shooting a wedding as an assistant photographer to an indian/christian wedding. The photographer is seriously an AMAZING photographer. I mean seriously AMAZING! She's the kind of photographer that you come across every once in a while that seems to set her work apart from everyone elses in talent. Dont believe me? Just check out her site:
In His Grace Photography.com
anyway, so I AM SO EXCITED :) :) :) :)
I have always wanted to try it, because Im hoping to become a photographer in the future, presumably shooting lots of weddings ^_^ its such an answer to prayer to be finally getting out there <3 Well anyway, im getting kind of uneasy :/ any tips/ideas/experiences you could possibly share would be deeply appreciated :D

Just relax and be prepared to work hard and fast on the day. Laura will no doubt tell you exactly what she wants you to cover...

Yea get some sleep and stop posting at 3am :D

Since Laura's website says she's based in Maryland, USA, i'm assuming there might be a time differential at work for Audreyanna too...lol

your right,

don't stay up that late get some sleep

I worked as an assistant for 3 years to a pro who is now retired and it was some of the hardest yet rewarding work ive ever done. I can't tell you what will happen because everytime was different but you need to relax, you need to be fully charged and you need to be quick...very quick! Working with a pro is better than any degree or diploma and the knowledge is worth it's weight in gold!

Make sure you listen and don't be afriad to ask questions but most of all, watch and learn. You'll be fine and you'll have an amazing time!

thank you so much all of you! :)
and, it was actually 10pm, not tooooo late ^_^

Don't be too worried, the pressure is really on the main photographer to get the important shots, as assistant/second shooter your mostly backing up the first tog and getting the pics they can't because they are doing the groups or whatever.
If you get too wound up you might get flustered and start making mistakes, so relax and take your time, check your settings often and watch the histogram for exposure errors.

My first times doing it I nearly messed up a few times going from indoors to outdoors and not tunring down the ISO. :) We all make silly beginners mistakes but that's why it is such a great idea to learn with a pro, you can make them safely and still learn from them so well done you for getting a slot! Don't get too flustered shooting but watch Laura and just be preparared to do as she asks really.

Let us know how it goes? :)
