Hello all, please bare with me as I am quite new to the world of professional photography,

Basically my relative wants to open a photography shop aborad and he has asked me to look into getting him a photo processing machine.

Basically he wants the self service type, the type you can find at boots, where you just insert your memory card and selec the photos you want to print, and then it prints onto the conventional glossy type photo paper, as if it were processes at a photo shop.

Basically I just want to know where can I find these type of machines (iv looked about on the net but had no luck) could you all please point me in the right direction, and give any suggestions and advice.

Thanks for all your help people, look forward to hearing from you soon

Regards
Brook

Email Fuji and ask m8, this is not a part of photography that the average amateur will know much about.

Check out Noritsu too. :)

There are a number of walk up self service kiosks available on the market. These are sold by a number of manufacturers , such as Kodak, Sony and others. Some are simply "dumb" terminals that talk to a mini lab, others have internal printing systems.

The best course of action for you would probably to visit Focus on Imaging in February next year. Most of the major manufacturers would be there.

If it's the straight forward Kiosk machine complete with printer they can cost between £4,000 -£8,000. OK you can get some second hand but you don't know what they've been used for .

Also if the machine is going abroad, what about supplies and service and parts.

I would suggest your relative does a bit of research as to what equipment is being used in the country the machine is going to.Find out who has these machines and what make are they. Then possibly contact the equipments agents in that country.
