Please help me choose a mount colour for this photo

My one day old daughter!

I'm thinking a darker mount would go better, so should I then go for a lighter frame? :shrug:

It's a personal thing, so I would go with a burgundy mount to blend with the pink in the picture and possibly a thin black frame.

Never even thought of burgundy, going to try it out.

Might order a few different coloured mounts as they are relatively inexpensive.

if you put the image into photoshop and create a frame you can xperiment with colours very quickly

a black should look pretty good

Thought about a clear acrylic panel? That'd look nice and modern. I don't think you need to have a frame/mount or anything extra to what's there, looks great as is

If you download the Kuler plug in for Photoshop it lets you generate palettes of colour that tone, or contrast.

Also remember that the border colour is used to create a border to the wall - and can also be used to tie in other colours in the room. If you use a double or tripple mount this can also bring in these colours.

If the wall the print is going on has a lot of pattern you want a bigger border...

The image would also suit many of the modern framing techniques like a canvas wrap, an aycrlic or a block mount....
