When I change from live view to use the view finder all modes seem to have a 20+ second exposure despite what they're set to. Fully Auto & CA are the exception. Have I pressed something wrong or is this an Error?
All modes work fine in Live view. Cheers.(Canon 7D Mk.1).
 
Have you tried resetting to factory defaults?
 
Yeah, done that.
 
All modes are behaving like BULB. If I depress the shutter button it closes the shutter.
 
Sounds like an error to me then.
Could try to set something in C1, C2 or C3 and see if that gives you something different from your default 20+ seconds?
Don't know if it would help, but is there a firmware update?

Are you sure it’s not just lifting the mirror (check what the images look like)?

Have you engaged mirror lock up accidentally?
 
I got strange problems, though not this one, with my 7d when it’s lithium backup battery had packed in.

Might be worth popping another in and see how it behaves.

Factory defaults should have reset mirror lockup if it had been set.
 
Release Shutter Without Card?? Now disabled and seems to be back to normal. Cheers guys. I,ll see how I get on from here.
