Hi all,

Recently i purchased a Gittos tipod with a 3 way head (MH5011). Whilst at a nightshoot last night i noticed there was quite alot of play/movement between the QR plate and the head itself which meant that even with 1 second exposures a slight gust of wind would end up with shot destroying blur. :'(

Is it normal for there to be play/movement between the 2? I had a 7d with 28-135 lens attached so not really the heaviest of combo's.

On my tripod there are three little grub screws, if you tighten these it will stop the head moving about, of if you meant the plate itself, if its the same as the one here then just push that lever back on teh top and it should lock solid.

Agreed I have a number of these heads on various pods, remember you do have to push the lever tight to lock

0 movement at all.
