places to stay in cardiff

as above looking to take the mrs away for a few days just llooking for some recomendations on where to stay and things to see cheers in advance

Last year took the gf for a weekend away, stayed in the St. Davids Hotel & Spa. Was nice, car park right next to the hotels one meant that parking was no problem.

Cardiff Bay is a cool place to visit, lots of things to photograph and great for "street togging"

That's the place a lot of Football teams used when the play-offs etc where held in Cardiff, or so i believe.

Vale is awesome. Used to be my regular for golf. WRU and FAW has their headquaters there, so good chance you might see some of the players if you do decide to stay there.

Cracking resteraunts, 2 awesome golf courses. Only downside is that its a tad far outside of Cardiff. On the other hand, you have Bridgend and Porthcawl local.

If your after somewhere closer to Cardiff, then there are an abundance of hotels in the city centre. Plus there is loads to do in the city itself, or even Penarth if you fancy a quick boat ride from the bay area?
