Looks like I might be in North Wales for a few days (hopefully) next week and the weather is looking like it might be ok, so was wondering if anyone had any great spots I had to visit :) I will no doubt end up going some way up Snowdon, but anywhere else I might have overlooked?

Thanks :D

I've taken loads of shots at Lyn Gwynant, which is near Snowdon. Unfortunately I had only just got my camera and had no idea how to use it, but still got some OK shots.

I like the coastal towns for their run-down, bawdyness. Checking out Rhyl and Llandudno is probably a good starting point.

Hello Jimmy, there's loads of good information at Simon Kitchin's site (he's also a member here)

Although I live in the area I haven't taken too many shots up in the mountains yet. It can be difficult to get a day where the cloud cover isn't really thick, especially at the moment!
There are loads of photogenic spots round here though so i'm sure you will have a good trip.

Loads to do in North Wales.....

Plenty of countryside....favourite haunt of mine is around Trefriw....head up to the lakes, Crafnant and Geirionydd which are walking distance apart. There are some old mines too which are interesting to photograph.

Caernarfon castle, Beaumaris, bridges over to Anglesey etc

Conwy castle.

+ lots more.
