Pretty much all of Wiltshire is beautiful. Just head out of Swindon, through Wroughton and towards Avebury. Head out along the ridgeway and in just minutes you can't see or hear a single road. Or go right at the beckhampton roundabout there and stop at the parking as you go up the hill on your left. The walk from there along to the White horse hill at cherhill is magical too.
