Pixelated images

Ok can someone please enlighten me as to why when I upload my slr images to Flickr or even facebook from my pc and then view them on either my iPhone or iPad they are extremely pixelated and look horrific! Yet when I view them on my pc they look fine. Surely there is something that can be done about that?

I'd be guessing and say it's the screens resolutions, maybe the ipads is higher than a normal PC screen?

Are you reducing the size of your image before uploading? If not, and the image exceeds the maximum size permitted by Flickr etc, they will resize themselves, but perhaps not so well as you would do yourself. I know this has led to people seeing pixellated images in the past when there was nothing wrong with the image they uploaded.

What I forgot to mention was I have set it up to publish the images via Lightroom and I've set the screen size and this morning I went back into it and saw there is a box to be ticked saying "don't enlarge" so ive ticked that now so when I upload again I'll see if that has made a difference (not sure if it will) and if not I'll reduce the size again and see what happens. Do you think that sounds about right?
