REMOVED I'm a new photographer and bought a 430ex II Flash and thought I could use camera to set it off wirelessly. The jessops crew didn't advise me that it wouldn't do this :( if you can help in any way or advise please let me know.

Thanks so much for your time

Mark

You don't have use pixel kings.

Lots of radio triggers are available to fire flash wireless, but will only fire the flash with manually settings. OR you can get IR triggers or set the flash to slave mode.

Pixel Kings give you TTL (auto settings), and if you really want to do this cheaply, then a long TTL cable is better starting point than spending £X amount on fancy stuff.

unfortunately, it's the canon 60d and 7d that have wireless triggers built in.

If like me, you have the canon 550d, then some triggers are needed. Yongnuo rf603 triggers are about £22 a pair from ebay. (Be warned, this makes it manual flash settings only).

The Pixel kings are awesome. They offer so much more then the 60d and 7D offer. Those are both line of site and dont work well out doors. With the pixel kings you cant shoot through walls and very far. I got the trigger and 2 receivers for less then I paid for my St-e2. I love the pixel kings. I just need to get anouther Yn-565 because my Canon 430EX will not take full control of the pixel kings..
