Hiya - I recently acquired a Pixel King trigger + two receivers and have just decided to try them out.

I have set the trigger and one receiver to the same group and channel.

The camera (1DsIII) and the Flash (580EXII) seem to talk to each other happily - the flash zooms to the correct focal length and displays the correct aperture, but.....

Every shot is massively over-exposed - like ETTL is not working at all.

Any suggestions?

Check all settings effecting the FEC on the flashgun and in camera are set to zero compensation
Then only use the flash control menu on the camera.

Apologies if you’ve checked those things already.
The pixel kings can't overide settings you have on the flashgun or FEC set elsewhere. Hope this helps.
 
Many thanks for your help - all the settings were normal. I then tried to update firmware but the utility doesn't work on Win 7. Finally I tried it on my wife's Win XP machine and found that two of the units were on an old firmware. Updating to the latest appears to have helped!
