Pics In Sales Ads

Could be that if they are selling a camera they don't have have another to take a picture with,
I doubt it but you never know.
I bought a new smart phone recently and you could claim a free promotional gift, which require you to
attach a digital picture of a small sticker showing the IMEI code etc, stuck on the back of the phone and
had to be in place in the picture.
I had a DSLR and the old phone to use but imagine those that don't have any other means, what do you do

I’ve several times just used my phone.

. . . and the photos that are supplied on occasion look like the seller has never seen a camera, let alone learned how to use one.

Any old piece of cloth or paper as a background and a snap from a phone is all it takes.

They don't struggle.
They just can't be arsed....crazy.
Guilty as charged.
Mind you, all I've sold recently has hardly been used so the supplier's website provides better pics.
If there are marks or damage I show them.

I suppose I am not motivated to go to much trouble on here because to sell something most of the time it has to be cheap, even when in tip top condition.

Lately I've had more success (at reasonable prices) on a well known auction site, additionally with Ffordes.

I'm only selling kit because we downsized considerably when we moved house. It is not something I enjoy doing.

i find ebay is a bit like that, some people post realy bad pictures and wonder why there stuff doesn't sell

It’s strangest on TP at the moment. So many people have bought mirrorless cameras and yet the interest in MF lenses is minimal. I shot little but MF with my Z6 but on here most just want Z lenses, meaning they’re missing out on some incredible glass.

I’ve just sold my 4 voigtlander F mount lenses on eBay, all for good prices.
I posted the most exotic - 180mm F4 apo lanthar- (which is as rare as hens teeth) on here but no interest.
I suppose with the cost of mirrorless being so high people are needing to save their pennies for fewer but more expensive purchases.

Could be. I’m finding the same on eBay, my stuff has sold well. Expected more interest here tho but hey ho.

I really must have a studio session soon to photograph some stuff I should sell as they're no longer used. Roundtoits - I hate 'em.

I suppose it depends what you photograph.

Im going mirrorless for the amazing autofocus, binning the AF for an ‘exotic’ vintage lens feels like the most mental thing in the world to me.

We are indeed all different.

I went through a phase of selling a lot of kit on eBay. I think I got good prices because the buyer could see clearly what was on offer. It doesn't need to be great art, just very clear.
