Hi Guys,

trying to stack some photo's in CS5 but the images end up displaying seperately in vertical column, like a film strip, and not merging into one image.

Anyone had the same problem and found the solution?

thanks in advance,

What stack mode have you used? how did you get them into a stack, from bridge?

Hi Wayne....

tried opening both directly & via bridge...

workflow:

file/automate - photomerge - auto - uncheck 'blend images together' - load open files - select all layers...edit/autoblend layers/stacked images

images just display as one image with pic's one above another, which photoshop names as 'panorama - untitled_1'

any ideas?

Are you trying to make a panorama or stack the images? I'm guessing it's the latter, try file/scripts load as stack (photoshop)

From bridge it's tools/photoshop/ load files into layers.

What exactly are you stacking them for are you trying to hdr focus blend or what?

If you just want to plain stack images one on top of the other, google Startrails.exe for a free download - primarily designed for stacking sky images to create startrails (hence the name) but will stack any jpegs you throw at it. Best thing is its free!

Cheers Wayne,

yes, trying to load as a focus stack, this method you suggested works fine.

Don't know why it was loading as Panorama as 'load as stack' is checked...just following a Youtube tutorial, which works fine in the tutorial

yeah, following the tutorial exactly but no luck...apparantly I'm not the only one with this problem...can only think there's a problem in the settings somewhere
