Photoshop

If you have kids in school or nieces/nephews look into the Student and Teacher editions, check the eligibilty first though and you could save a few £'s.

Which edition are you thinking of? Ebay and Amazon have some good deals from time to time. Whatever you do, don't even think about downloading a dodgy copy. These are notorious for being loaded with trojans and similar nasties, apart from being somewhat adjacent to outright theft.

I am looking to buy this for my daughter CS6 extended student & teacher to install on my pc for her use......and me when she's not using it, just waiting for some info from her college for the eligibility checks.

Hrmmmm...... i wonder if i can convince SWMBO that our 7 year old would love Photoshop CS6 for his up coming birthday.

Are you sure that you need the full version? Elements is well priced and powerful enough for all but the most advanced post processing.

If you just want the basic features of the Photoshop, use the less expensive version -- Photoshop Elements.

Unless you really need the full power of CS6, then I'd also seriously consider Elements instead. Whilst there is no doubt that it is great tool for editing, it also has a massive learning curve, and requires a top end PC as well.
There are some features that aren't in Elements (can't remember exactly which), but for most it's pretty good.
You might also wish to conside Lightroom, which I find i use most of the time now.
