Photoshop

I'm looking for a software for my canon 1000d and Photoshop seems highly thought of,can I take it that it's compatable ? Another strange thing I've noticed is the varied price for it ranging from £49.00 to £107.00 am I correct in thinking elements 9 is the latest?

Elements 9 is the latest version and should work ok with the 1000d, although it may need the latest free update, (cant remember if the camera came out before v9 shipped) the price will vary but that sounds a lot, I'd buy from a reputable dealer rather than ebay or somewhere similar.

Some of the cheap prices may be student versions...
