Photoshop won't recongnise the best bits for photo stacking

Hi

I've done a shoot on a tripod using the remote shoot button at f5.6 at 6 manual steps to get this entire product (22mm) in focus.

I tried to embed video of all the pictures, on my amazon s3 storage, but amazon aws is not an acceptable platoform

I tried to autoblend but no dice. Out of 6 images it would basically take a photo of 2 of them and the rest of them are unused. So I just manually did it myself, it is tedious and need an automated solution.

Any ideas why photoshop wont automatically stack the photos?

Are these photos unsuitable?

I worked out what was wrong, I have cs5 and I was watching a tutorial on how to do it on cs5 which is really meant for stitching panoramic photos together, not for blending a single macro shot together.

I need a newer on to do it with the updated way designed for getting an object entirely in focus.

Pleased with the final result, paid a fiverr designer to clean it up for me.
