Can anyone recommend a basic photoshop training course in the Yorkshire area, i am rubbish at using it so tend to shy away, i know there are loads of tutorials on you tube, but i find that i learn better if someone actually shows me:)

Join Wakefield camera club, a wealth of help in there. You can get all levels in one place.

That has crossed my mind

Just get stuck in and use the two threads on here- my PP was really awful and now after some perseverance it is just awful:lol:

There are so many ways to achieve the same thing that there isn't always a right and wrong way. I used to get hung up on that but now just expose myself to as many techniques as possible. The only way to get good is to do it over and over and over again. If you commit to it I'm sure you could learn a lot yourself- you can always post here if there is something specific as well.

Hi Liz, will take laptops when we go away on our hols and we can play on photoshop then. I'm no expert but have a few discs and have learnt so far by playing around with it!

i've loaded it on my laptop to take anyway as i have no intention of trying to sift through all the photos i know i'm going to take when i get back

Liz, Consider Lightroom 3 which is under £100 at the mo - £40 for students - It's faster and less PC resource heavy than PS and you'll stick to editing your pix rather than attempting to create ghastly works of pseudo modern art.

Great tutorials at VTC.com for $30 a month - 1 month is plenty.
